Does anyone have time during their monthly cycle that sex is a tad painful and dry feeling?

I seem to have a time during my cycle after my period that sex can feel a little dryer with a little more friction, and it can be painful at times. It doesn't last for too long but it seems to happen at least every couple of months if not every month. Like I feel ready and wet enough to start but when I do there just seems to be a lot of extra friction.

I have it sometimes when they are on top, it doesn't feel right and really hurts.

I definitely get that, if you use tampons it's because of them. They soak up the blood but they also soak up any natural lubrication. I always have to remind my SO that period time means tons of lube time!
