Heating pad while pregnant???

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and having pain... Is it safe to use a heating pad?? It'll be on my front side below my belly button

I don't know that it is safe for the front but I know it is ok to put on your back. I was at my Dr's today because I was and am still having horrible cramps (he said it is my muscles) anyhow, he suggested that I put a heating pad on my back to aleviate some of the pain. Good luck!

I don't think so for the the front. My doctor allows 20 min at a time on the back. You don't want to heat the baby up.
