Clit stimulation

Very over talked topic and sorry for another post but I seriously do not know how to stimulate my clit. A lot of people suggest a vibrator which I would like to try after I am able to make myself cum all on my own. I have honestly tried very hard to find it and rub to stimulate it but it doesn't feel like anything. Am I doing it wrong or not I honestly don't know.
