Pregnant brain?

I'm super intelligent, and no I'm not being cocky I'm just very proud of myself and I pride myself in being educated and now that I've gotten pregnant; 1) my sentences are run ons ( which aggitates the living shit out of me) 2) I can't ever say what I'm thinking (I'll say, "I have to bathroom go." Or something stupid like that) finally 3) I JUST FEEL STUPID! >_> UGH! Anyone else? I love my baby to death but holy crap baby, if you're taking all my brains you better come out with a PhD!

Yes yes yes! I feel your pain! I am graduating from Boston University on Friday with a double major and Bachelors in Biological Anthropology and Psychology with a concentration in Child Development, but I feel like I'm in elementary school again with the amount of times I mess up my sentences and my recent lack of punctuation! Agh.

Yessss!!! I swear people question if I really have my masters degree. I hate to tell you this - it doesn't get any better once you have delivered either. You continue to feel stupid and some days I think it's worse than when I was pregnant.

Sooooo true. Try being a medical provider and prescribing medications and trying to explain illness like diabetes and hypertension etc while pregnant!! Omg I stumbled sooooo many times in my sentences and sounded completely stupid. It was terrible. Gets slightly better when baby is 3 mo old and go back to work. Haha.

I always thought my friends were crazy when they talked about having "pregnancy brain" but my opinion changed when it was happening to me. I think it's due to that fact that we are thinking about so many other things, baby related, that our brain pushes the every day stuff to the back. Just be willing to laugh at yourself when silly things come out. 😉

I know how you feel. I was talking to my mother-in-law last night about my niece (who is 18 months) and I said she's older than she was when she was born. DUUUH! Lol. I felt so stupid. 😩 Nothing comes out right anymore. Hopefully our brains go back to normal after baby. 😊
