Free ultrasounds??

I've been reading that some people have had an ultrasound for free at a clinic. There's a clinic in my town that offers them and I was wondering if they're legit? Do they actually do them and are accurate? Do they tell you what they see and everything??

Totally legit. I went to one for various reasons, but it's run by RNs and the ultrasound tech, all of whom are volunteering. The one I went to was a faith-based center, and they were so kind and helpful.

We have women's centers that are legit and they do ultrasounds. The ones in my area will only see you if you have not received care from an obgyn.

Very legit! This was mine from a free clinic. The only thing they don't use is a dopler, because there is some controversy I guess about whether or not the dopler hurts the fetus when it's that young, so I didn't get to here the heartbeat, but I sure got to see it! Baby was jumping and doing flips and kicking and being a general wiggle worm!
The one in my town is a faith-based organization run by RNs and retired RNs, and ultrasound techs. They volunteer their time to do the ultrasounds and counsel women about their options and offer parenting classes and donate clothing and formula for new babies. They don't judge you on the choice you want to make, and they don't push religion either. They were a super wonderful group of women! 
I choose to go there because my husband's job nor mine offer insurance and government insurance that is offered costs way too much and on top of it has an insane copay amount that has to be met before they will even start paying for anything. We are also in the process of moving states so getting in with an OB/GYN only to leave and have to start over seemed like a waste of time. That way I know my baby is happy and healthy right now, and I only get one doctor that will be there for the rest of my pregnancy!
