Horrible day
I went to the doctor last week for my first appt and after the ultrasound the doctor thought I might be only 6 weeks along instead of the 7 weeks that I thought I was. We could see w heart beat flutter on the screen but not hear it. They had me do 2 days of blood tests to see how things were progressing and my levels tripled which is great.
Today I had a follow up appt for another ultrasound and no flutter or heart beat sound. Many tears were shed as they said I likely will miscarry due to no heart beat. They sent me to a specialist for another ultrasound and she didn't see a heartbeat. She said it may still be too soon for a heartbeat to appear as she thinks from my measurements that I'm only 6 weeks as of now. Waiting to hear back from my OBGYN for the next steps. Feeling deflated and discouraged.
Has anyone experienced something like this before?
