My stepson is upset because he doesn't want a baby sister. He wants a brother. He was so upset he didn't want to speak to me.

My almost 6 yr old son was upset when he found out he will be having a baby sister instead of a baby brother. He would get really mad or cry when someone would tell him that the baby is a girl. But we started talking to him and told him "Do you see your uncle(my brother) over there with Julie(our little sister)? Do you see how much he loves her and cares for her? That's what big brothers do, and what you need to do with your little sister. You're going to be her superhero and protect her." Thank God, that worked so well. He is actually pretty excited about meeting his sister in April. You could try something like that and just motivate him by telling him all the things big brothers do. 😊

Ahh that sucks he'll come around. Try to make it fun that's what I did with my step daughter she wanted a girl. We let her pick the middle name to have her involved I think it helped good luck
