Sex to induce labour?

Does it really work ?? Anyone had any luck ? How long did it take ? Ect..

It's given me painful contractions that ultimately led into nothing several hours later for me. We've been trying everyday since I hit 39weeks and I'm currently 3days overdue. Everyone is different and everyone's body reacts differently, so it very well can put you into labor, just not always.

With my previous two pregnancies it did, with my middle daughter it was the next day and with my last daughter my husband had just came home on leave from Iraq and we had sex on the 20th and the next day I was in pain all day finally went to the hospital and they said I was in labor one came 3 weeks early the other 2 weeks.  So it can happen semen has something in it can't recall the name that ripens the cervix.
