Started New Pack, Got Period?

Hey, guys. I started a new pack of birth control immediately after finishing one (the next day) and I never do that, but my birthday is this week and I didn't want to be burdened with it. However, I got my period anyway about 2 days in and I stopped taking the pills. This morning, there was so much blood it was dripping from me onto the floor.

Embarrassing, but I'm not sure who to talk to. Last time I started my period while taking birth control (Like during it) it lasted for over a month. It sucked!

I will obviously see a doctor if something like that happens again but do you think I'm okay? Just a little nervous 😔

This means you're birth control may not be strong enough because you're lining is still shedding even with the hormones of you're pill.. If you'd like to be able to skip periods than talk to you're doctor about changing pills a higher dose of hormones.

Some people just don't have good luck trying to skip & will bleed during that time regardless, but no matter what, you should have continued taking your pill. Now your body is probably going to be out of whack when you go to start back up again.
