can cysts delay ovulation?

i was wondering if anyone has ever come across this situation before:
my supposed week of ovulation was november 10-15, but on november 17th i went to the doctors for another health reason, blood and urine tests were done, and it came back negative that i was pregnant, which was expected since my husband and i were not trying to conceive at the moment. it was found that i had a cyst, but wasn't anything of concern.
we had sex on november 22 thinking that we were way past my ovulation week, but after that i had missed my period, took a couple tests, and they came back positive.
i have a doctors appointment scheduled for monday, and i would love it if i were actually pregnant, but i had read that cysts can cause false positives. i'm really hoping that is not the case because i would be very disappointed, so i was wondering if anyone knew if it is possible that my cyst could have delayed my ovulation, and therefore i could have in fact conceived on the 22, even tho i wasn't supposed to be ovulating then.
