Hotel at 7 weeks.

Hi! My husband and I have to go to a wedding when the baby will be about 7 weeks old. It's too far to drive home after, so we want to have my mom stay at the hotel with the baby and then we'll be able to go check up on him/her and not be away the whole night. I just wanted your opinions on bringing a 7 week old to a hotel room. We don't want to leave the baby home, I know I end up trying to drive all the way back - id be too nervous lol.
