Husband is driving me nuts!

Okay, let me say this year has been a whirlwind.  I'm so ready for next year to get here.  Our family has been hit hard, job, health wise.   My husband was a boss and he agreed to a weekly salary.  Little did he know he was going to regret that decision 3 years down the road.  I don't know what made him decide so quick on a job change.  His other job was great and a house came long with it. But maybe the 24,000 dollar bonuses at the end of each year helped make his mind up. Anyway we completely up rooted our family moved away from family and friends so he could start his new job.  To make the long story short this job was killing him.  He was on the road constantly getting up at 1-2 in the morning not getting back till 4. Just to get up at 8 a.m and not get home till 10:00, just to get up at 1-2 in the morning. He did that the past 3 years.  Finally he was breaking down after going on no sleep and being put on not 1 but 2 antidepressants because he couldn't handle the stress of the job.  His dr finally told him he is killing himself slowly. So he quit his job.  Now he is making less money helping a friend out but we are not making it.  I do work but I have to have surgery that will have me down for at least 6 wks.  We got a truck when he had his good job but now we don't have that income any longer he wants to keep it. I have a 2009 Ford.  It's paid for gets great gas mileage I told him he can just drive that to and from his job.  We have a 30,000 truck that just sits in our drive with insurance and payment we pay $800.00 a month for it to get driven only on the weekends. I want my husband to see the bigger picture we could be saving that money by letting the truck go! But he wants us to live pay check to pay check.  He got mad at me for getting our daughter Christmas instead of putting it towards his stupid truck!  I'm fed up and our daughter is t going to do with out.  Am I being ridiculous?  Is he right?
