Ex-boyfriend is back

So me and my ex boyfriend broke up we dated for A year and 4 months and then I started to date someone new. My family hates my ex now because he broke my heart. But me and my recent boyfriend just broke up. I really miss my ex the one I dated for a year. And so does he. He's showed me how he's changed and I believe it. But my family doesn't approve. He wants to apologize to them face to face he's such a kind person. I want to date him again what should I tell my family.
