How long did you wait?

How long did you wait before taking baby out? I just realized my due date is the week before Easter, and my husband and I were hoping to have her dedicated to God on Easter, we just didn't realize how close the due date was! And, of course I know she could come early or late.

No criticism please, first time mom here.

I won't take her around lots of people until she has shots. I'll take her around my family but not in public. Too many people out there who don't take care of themselves.

It's almost unrealistic in the fast pace world we live in, but other than dr appointments I wait 4-6weeks with my babes.

I'm a FTM but I intend on waiting a week. We have a wedding 3 weeks after my due date and we plan to bring the baby with us. I think as long as you aren't letting sick people around the baby its okay.

My LO was 4 days old we took her to the pediatrician then grocery shopping.

DD was 6 days old I think, but that was also 2 days after I was released from the hospital. I just kept her in her stroller or sling and didn't let strangers near, more so because she was my baby so go away than for germs. Lol

We waited one week with our two month old.  BUT we didn't take her to any big gatherings until she had her shots. We did a small thanksgiving.

I'm not a mom but I grew up with TONS of babies in my house (my mom fostered and it was mostly babies) 
She always waited till they were 3days - 1 week old to take them out ( dependant on the individual baby and weather since winter in Manitoba can be REALLY cold) but definitely at a week she was taking them shopping and things with her. It is a bit different though in the sense that she needed no recovery time for herself
