Period

So the 18th I started medium brown spotting that morning then later on that evening had red like Af but it turned back to heavy brown and stayed that way until this morning it's was really light brown and now I have nothing. My period was due on the 9th. I took pregnancy tests a week or so ago and they came back negative. So does this mean that was my period? Or anyone experience this?
