I have always had a low temp(don't know why) but it generally ranges at 93-97. Been ttc for 17 months

The simple answer is yes. Your BBT plays a very important role. Do your charts show a clear temp shift to indicate ovulation? Do the temps stay elevated above the cover line throughout your luteal phase? If your charts have these two things, you're likely ovulating. Typically the actual temperature is not important as long as there is a clear sustained shift.

I still think it's important though to consult your doctor to confirm that ovulation is occurring. They can do a simple blood test a week before your expected period to check your progesterone levels. If they are low, then pregnancy is less likely to occur or be sustained. If that's the case, your doctor can prescribe something like clomid or vitex to help increase progesterone.

I've heard that could be thyroids. It worth getting checked! My Bbt is low too, it ranges from 95 to 98.
