Desperately looking for help

My 2yr old daughter has recently (within the last few weeks) begun hurting herself when she is told no or is being punished. She will either pull out her own hair, scratch and hit herself in the face, or throw herself on the ground and repeatedly bang her head on the floor. I try picking her up and try to comfort her but that just pisses her off more. Is this normal toddler behavior or is something else causing this? It just started within the last few weeks. I'm also 38wks pregnant maybe this has something to do with it? Looking for some help here!!!!
