Too old to believe in Santa Claus?

My 11y old daughter still writes letter for Santa and place under the tree. Her choices are getting more expense every year! Lol
Should I tell her there is no Santa, but mama?!

BTW, she is getting the $100 Drawing Pad.

Noooo, don't ruin the magic for her yet, I think it's cute! Maybe just tell her that Santa can't get every kid expensive things so it's not nice to ask him for a lot like that. I get my kids to write two wish lists, one to Santa and one to me and her dad. We just tell them not to ask Santa for too much since there are millions of kids in the world. So we get the list of expensive crap and Santa gets the simple stuff lol

My daughter is 21. We do gifts on Christmas eve. I ask her every year if she believes in Santa. Every year she says yes :) she also gets a Santa present that she wakes to every Christmas morning :)

Do kids that age really believe?

I recall being like 5 or 6 when I quit believing. There was no big revelation, I just sort of knew that the world didn't work that way. But it was more fun to pretend to believe than not to. If I didn't believe I feared i wouldn't get a nice new dress to take pics with, or wouldn't get as many presents or go do anything santa related which was all fun stuff.

So I pretended to believe for a long time. I kind if think that's what's happening with my 9 year old stepson too. He's smart enough to put 2 and 2 together, I'm pretty sure he's caught on but doesn't let us know because then hed think we wouldn't go to Santa's tree farm, or the downtown christmas tree lighting with Santa or that he wouldn't get as many presents.

My sisters Christmas lists where getting ridiculously expensive so my parents told her that they have to send Santa some money to help pay for them, and that's why some kids don't get as much as others. 
She's 10 and still believes.
