How many ultrasounds do you get?

I was told by my OB I was 7w3d on the day of my ultrasound but the ultrasound tech told me I was 6w5d. I know that isn't a huge difference but isn't the next ultrasound around 16-18 weeks? Would I get another one before then since my first one was so early?
I'm 20 and this is my first pregnancy so any comments help, I was just wondering how often you get ultrasounds because my friend only had 2 for her whole pregnancy and I thought it was more than that.

If you aren't high risk, you don't actually need to have any ultrasounds.  I will have one at 20 weeks because I'm near 35.

Your insurance might not cover more than 2. You can pay out of pocket though. My mom is an ultrasound tech and they do $40 size and date scans for people who want another. They also do $105 4d ultrasounds when you're 30 ish weeks.

I had the biweekly starting at 13 weeks then weekly at 30, but I was high risk.

Count your lucky stars.  As someone who is high risk (twins via IVF with unexplained infertility and a prior early miscarriage) I'll be getting a lot of ultrasounds.  Every two weeks through the first trimester, every 4 weeks in the second trimester and then again every two weeks in the 3rd.  At the very end it will be every week.  It's nice to see the babies, but alarming since they are doing them to make sure nothing is wrong.  There are private ultrasound places where you can pay for a glimpse of your baby if you have the extra cash.

I only got 2 u/s with my first she was very healthy.. I'm only 6weeks and I already had 3 u/s with this pregnancy so is always good to have less u/s that means u and baby are both healthy ☺️
