I think everyomes different my sister in law has had hers nearly 3 years and loves it.. i had mine just over a year and had to have it taken out it gave me severe anxiety i never put the two together when i started having anxiety attacks untill around 3 months later when i joined a forum on the copper iud and i saw women commenting on how they got severe anxiety since having it removed im seeing the light at the end of the tunnel iv came off my anxiety medication and only have attacks mabe once a month that i can talk myself down from.. where as when i had it in i made my mum ring me every hour to check i was still alive and this went on for 6 months!
But like i say its different for everyone if you search the cooper iud on gòogle you will be able to find forums on women who love it and women who hate it

I had it couple of yrs ago i didn't mind it changing my period that much normally it was 7 days 2 heavy 3 medium 2 light but while on had the iud it was 9 heavy days but 14 months after getting it i had to have it removed cause i bled for 3 months straight and my gyn and i were worried about blood loss and she started me on the depo shot the day it was removed to help stop/slow the bleeding....but I hope you have better luck than me
