Genetic Testing on embryos before IVF?

After almost two years of TTC, and three rounds of IUI with injectibles and not a single BFP, DH and I are starting the IVF process in 2 weeks. Our initial genetic blood testing came back totally normal. But now we aren't sure if we should do genetic testing on the embryos before transfer. I am 31, he is 35. Did you guys get the embryo genetic testing done?

I would still get the PGS testing done. My husband and I are both 32 and both of our genetic blood work came back perfectly normal. We had 10 embryos tested and 5 came back abnormal.  We paid $2,100 to test all our embryos.  Best of luck :)

My dr told us not to do it, so we didn't we only ended up with 3 embryos out of 15 eggs but I am pregnant on my first fresh cycle. So if they recommend it I would but if they don't then I wouldn't. You can still mc even with a normal embryo.

I would have ur husbands sperm's DNA tested for fragmentation first then if u clears the blood tests that's only about $500. Bc if he has high fragmentation the IVF won't take.

We opted to do the PGS testing (chromosome screening) on our embryos. I'm 33 & DH is 34.

I'm so glad we did because all 3 of our beautiful frozen embryos had chromosome abnormalities. It was heartbreaking at first, to find we were back at square one, but then I realized I'd rather find out all at once than go through 3 miscarriages in a row.

Plus, it's more cost effective. It's around $1500 to do the testing (that includes up to 8 embryos over 9 months for us) and a single FET costs more than twice that, not including meds.
