How many women were on Depo and not told they'd have trouble TTC ?

I had my Mirena taken out September 9th 2015.  I told my Obgyn I wanted to become pregnant within the year but that I couldn't get pregnant until after my preconception visit. She strongly suggested I not use condoms but  another form of BC. By the end of the appointment she had talked me into depo. I ONLY HAD ONE SHOT.

The first time I was on it, I only had two shots. It took me just over 2 years afterwards to get pregnant. I had one shot in January of 2015 (this is several years after having my last child I might add) and I have been TTC for 9 months so far. Depo is so awful.

I started Depo in 2008. Stayed on it until May 2014. Periods started the next month liked normal. Every 26 days. 5 days long. I would say we tried to get pregnant right away but I wasn't keeping track of ovulation or anything until November 2014. My husband deployed in Jan 2015. He got back in September 2015. We got pregnant in November 2015. I don't think Depo effects everyone the same. Once you get a period, my doctor says you can get pregnant. Hope that helps!

I've had so much trouble with this issue, I got on the depo last October after my miscarriage in April.. I took only 2 shots but it fucked with my cycles so bad that it took a full year to even get my periods back. I had my first period this October and I've been tracking them ever since with this app, and they've slowly gotten back to normal.. so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone ever. It was the one BC I regret. Hoping this is our year, rather sooner than later😆 hope this helps!
