Hospital vs. Birth Center

I know the risks vs benefits for health and all that, but I'm more curious about cost. I guess money is getting tight with multiple therapies for our special needs son plus this pregnancy (and two other kids). So I'm willing to forgo my usual epidural to save some dough but I'm wondering if going to a birth center would save us even more money. Anyone have experience with this?
