Having the flu at 39 weeks?

I woke up last night (12/29/15) puking every last bit of my dinner. I couldn't even hold down water. Spent all day curled up in a ball, on the couch, with hot flashes. My husband ate the same thing last night and he felt fine. Called my doctor and the lady at the front desk said I'm fine I just have to flu and to keep hydrated. She would not let me speak to a nurse. Now tonight the 30th I feel the same way. Tired and weak and constantly on the toilet. But this time I noticed a big white "bugger" in my panties. TMI. I know. But would this be my mucus plug? I thought it would be more bloody. I also have pains on my lugs and ribs. Has anyone else gotten the flu this far along? Am I over reacting?
