I need some opinions

So me m this guy are super close. We tell each other anything n everything n we talk constantly n he's just my best friend. But ive been really really thinkin hard bout it n me n him have had countless conversations about sex but I wanna lose my virginity to someone I trust n love...and I haven't found anyone i trust or love (this much) in 2 years since my last boyfriend (who I loved with my entire heart..) cheated on me. And but I don't wanna lose our friendship of we do it. How do I even bring it up to him? Keep in mind the conversations bout sex (not setting I promise) were just in general and he's a virgin too
