Nehemiah 12.31.15 @4:29pm

I had recorded uncomfortable contractions on 12.29.15 started @10:30pm. Around 2a.m my husband decided we should head to the hospital and get checked out. Went to triage was there until 4:30am, nurse said i had still been dilated at 2cm/50% effaced (simply early early labor). Went home to labor more, 12.30.15 things got serious i could now understand the difference in contractions and Braxton hicks, i was "unknowingly" experiencing contractions when baby is posterior "baby grinding on your spine😟 (at our 36wk scan baby was said to be positioned perfectly). Around 4pm i they were making me out of breath. Timed them (1min/6min apart). At 6:45pm i finally broke down and agreed to go to the hospital. Got there 7.30pm sane nurse, i portrayed from 3cm/75% effaced. Got checked into L&D and by that time the pain was intensifying. I was crying add begging for pain meds. 12.31.15 at 12am the anesthesiologist came to give me the epidural (INSTANT relief). I was relaxed abs able to sleep through the pain. I reached 4cm/75% effaced at 1am. 4am i was 6cm/80% effaced. 8am i was 8cm/90% effaced and losing my mucus plug. At 9am two nurses came to see if i had broke my water. It was apparent that baby was posterior after all the cervical checks slow progress. My bag of waters was bulging from 9am-3pm. Once he turned correctly, the doc came and popped my bag of waters and let me start pushing. Pushed for 30 minutes and rested. 4:15pm nurses came back had me push, baby was slowly making his way down. 4:15pm i pushed until he was close crowning and had to wait for but doc to return from be office 15min away 😣...i was a little annoyed and could feel to much pressure to hold baby in that position. I begged to push for relief..he started crowning at 4:20 i was just dying to get baby out...the doc came in the room at exactly 4:25pm with me struggling to not plush him out, with 2 pushes he was out. Born 38+5 weeks @4:29pm. No tearing, instant relief and the unimaginable feeling of bringing life into this world. Healthy baby boy, with his daddy who never once left my side, coaching me through the struggles and doubts during labor and delivery. #1 great experience at Katy Methodist West Hospital, great nurses and staff.

Now i truly understand when women deliver their children they are so overwhelmed with emotion. Such an amazing outer body experience. God really knew what he was doing when He designed women to bear children. I can't wait to see what else He has in store for me, my husband, and baby this year. Great what to bring in the New Year. Trust in God through any tough situation and He will get you through it.
