Has anyone taken sudafed and ibuprofen while breast feeding?

I have the worst cold and I feel so guilty taking anything cause it makes my 3 week old spit up alot. Anyone else?

Don't take anything for mucous it's those ingredients that dry up supply. I would stick with Vicks on your feet with socks and chest. Try to get into your dr they should be able to recommend something that won't compromise your milk

They gave me ibuprofen in the hospital while o was breastfeeding so I'm guessing it's fine

Ibuprofen is fine. Don't take anything that could potentially dry up your milk, antihistamines, Mucinex, Sudafed

I've been taking Motrin since I was in the hospital for the pain after birth. It's no joke and if I don't I can't function. My baby is gaining weight and is healthy and mommy is pain free for a little while. I try not to take anything but I'm in more pain now than when I had my section. :-(

I had a really bad cold last week and was told by my doctor that almost every over the counter medication is safe while breastfeeding! The only concern was the cold passing to the baby and winding up in the hospital with RSV or another viral infection. Make sure to consult with a doctor before taking anything.

I take Motrin and that's sort of the same thing.I'm also on other pain medication and they say only 2% goes into breast milk.
