Do i have a choice about getting induced a little early?

I want to have my baby when I'm in my 38th week because we are moving out of state and I have deadlines.I know I will have to wait about two weeks before traveling..but f i wait until im 40weeks and then wait another two weeks then the dealines our family has to make will be too late...Will hospitals or doctors let me have my baby early?

They usually don't like to induce for non medical reasons until 39 and beyond but it's definitely worth asking your dr about

Just be aware that your chance of c-section rises because your body just won't be ready.

It's worth asking! I know someone who induced a few weeks early because her husband was an NCAA coach and the team was headed out of town for March Madness (road travel for about 4 weeks). They induced 2 days before he left so he wouldn't have to miss out.
