What happens if you become pregnant with an IUD ?

Hi I was wondering what happens if a pregnancy occurs with the IUD. I know there are very slim chances. However a girl that I know has the skyla and she said that if a pregnancy were to occur, it wouldn't be a real pregnancy?? I have the paragard and I was just curious what would happen..

I got pregnant using the copper IUD. Removing the IUD is necessary if this happens but this can cause miscarriages. When you say what happens, what do you mean exactly?
