What happens at your first ob appointment?

I only have taken a home pregnancy test and need to schedule my first apt. Should hubs come or is it just an apt confirming pregnancy?

You get a ultra sound estimate your due date and get a Pap smear done

My first 2 appointments were backwards. Normally they confirm pregnancy, blood work, and paper work. After having 2 losses my first appointment was an ultrasound and the second was ultrasound,paper work and blood work

Usually a consultation, urine sample, possible blood tests and MAYBE depending on your doctor you'll get an ultrasound.  Mine made me wait 2 more weeks for the ultrasound

Not all give you an ultrasound. Depends on your doctor. You can call them and ask. Good luck!

All they did for me was make me do a urine sample and talk about what to expect. It lasted maybe 10 min...
