Spasm-like movements?

FTM here and I just felt baby move In a totally different way just now, it felt like my belly was having a spasm? I really don't know how else to describe it lol but just wondering if anyone else has had this happen? Is it normal? I'll be 28 weeks on Monday if that helps at all!

I have it too...what I feel is completely different than hiccups as that's more rhythmic. This just feels like a seisure for about 3 seconds. I think she's trying to change positions when it happens.

Update to ease your mind. I was just at the doctor and she said that these little movements although surprising and maybe scary are totally normal. She said that the time to worry is lack of movement for longer stretches. Nothing to be concerned about!

I looked it up. The baby is moving around in there and has very little muscle control so sometimes when it move the muscles spas out.

I have it to. Except I really don't think that it's hiccups or movements? It's very very fast uncontrolled shaking but for a short period of time. Has anyone had it and asked their doc? I'm almost 28 weeks

My Dr said it may not be the babybat all but actually your stomach muscles spasming.. I had it around 25 weeks alot but not at 27 weeks I don't notice it anymore.

Happens quite frequently with my babe as well.  Almost feels like she's vibrating in there haha. When I asked my midwife she said it's normal due to baby not having the best muscle control.

Yep i have this!!!!!!!!!! Its deffo not hiccups because they are regular but these spasms are very quick and last only a few seconds and then stop! I'm going to ask my midwife when i go but ive heard alot of women have had the same thing!! Xx

Yes its is either hiccups or his or her REM sleep. I can always tell when he has hiccups BC it is a timely repeated bounce in my belly. Its a good sign that growth is going according to plan.

Yes! It is happening right now! Especially when I lay down to sleep ( he is most active later at night lol). It's like he's playing the bongos in there lol

I'm 29 weeks and it happens all the time! It's actually happening right now. I think it's hiccups. Whatever it is it always feels weird. lol
