Part two - birth story

I had a funneling cervix and was placed on Crinone suppositories with no surgery at 20 weeks. At 34 weeks, my doctor told me to stop taking the Crinone . I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and my doctor put me on glyboride and a diet. I was also strep b positive ( something only 40 percent of pregnant is diagnosed with - bacteria-(uti) ) . At 35 weeks I remember crying because i thought I was failing as a mother to my unborn baby! My body was not cooperating with this pregnancy. At the beginning of my 35th week , I thought I was feeling contractions. Went to the hospital only to go right back home because what I was feeling was Braxton hicks contractions.
I was dilated only one centimeter . December 29th I had my weekly doctor's visit at 36 weeks and 4 days. I was feeling crampy but nothing too serious. Was told I was 4 centimeters and that I needed to go be admitted. I remember eating pineapples from a can because I heard that can get labor going but it was from a can and I think I it's the fresh pineapple that was neededwith the hormone- so not sure if that helped.
I got an epidural but I felt everything . They say I was supposed to feel pressure but not pain but let me tell you- it was horrible. I felt the contractions and nothing got better until the head was out! Felt like someone was sweezing my ovaries and kicking them too lol!
Long story short- my baby was born at 36 weeks and 4 days - perfect and healthy. She was able to come home after two days of our hospital stay . No complications- no jaundice - no nothin! God is amazing! I'm open to any questions-
