Heart concerns (any nurses out there?)

Why do I always seem to get health concerns when the doctors office is closed?

So... My heart has been fluttering and then sometimes pounding, like it's working really hard. I was worried about high blood pressure, so I went to the grocery store and did one of those blood pressure machines. It actually said my BP was 86/64!!! I have always had low BP, even before pregnancy, but this just seems really low. The machine said it was normal, and I don't have any other symptoms like dizziness or shortness of breath. I'm fatigued, but that's how I've felt all during this pregnancy. 
 
Has anyone else experienced any of these symptoms? I need to know I'm not alone... Or else, tell me whether I need to go to the ER.

Palpitations are a common symptom during pregnancy, so I wouldn't stress too much about it unless you're having chest pains as well.

I am in the same boat.   I am bringing it up my ob.  I am nervous about it also

The palpitations are normal since your heart works a little harder because of increased blood produced during pregnancy. I have times where I feel like my heart wants to beat out of my chest. My bp use to drop with my 3rd one if I was standing still too long.

As long as you aren't feeling dizzy or short of breath, I'd just wait until your next OB visit and share your concerns there. Your BP is fine, especially since you said you run a little low anyway. Your BP usually drops during pregnancy anyway. Just rest as much as you can and drink lots of fluids. Stress and exhaustion can cause palpitations; it's happened to me before!

Those machines are known to be unreliable so just remember that :) I have heart flutters too. My mom is a nurse and told me to make sure I'm drinking enough water. That seems to help me.

My heart feels like it beats so fast at times and there is nothing I can do to slow it down.  I have high blood pressure and always have. It's weird and kind of scary when it happens.

I feel like that when I have an anxiety or panic attack. The first couple of times it happens to you it can be scary.
