Brown spotting

I've been spotting brown for 9 days off and on. Really just a drop or two a day. Haven't had a period since the end of November and ended in the beginning of December. I see the ob tomorrow but wondering if anyone has had this before? Anything I should ask my dr? I wanna start clomid. Do you think he will let me? Been trying for 10 months!
