Bad smell... Down there??

About 2 or 3 weeks ago, I was diagnosed with a uti. I also had symptoms of either a yeast or bacterial infection, which was never diagnosed because there was no over growth of yeast or bacteria found, SO I was given a shot just in case there was a bacterial infection and oral medication (one of those take once pills that works over time) in case I had a yeast infection. I no longer itch or burn in my vaginal area (tmi I know! Sorry!) but I still have the uti that won't go away. The problem im having though is now I have a horrible smell down there, when normally I don't smell at all. What could be causing this? Can a uti cause you to smell there?
