EDD dates?

According to my last period, my EDD would be 8/15/16, but when my ob first measured the fetus at 6w, she said 8/11/16, but that I should stick with the 8/15/16 EDD. Anyone know why?

Sonograms can be inaccurate. They said my son was going to be 8 or 9 lbs. He was 5. That's part of why they have a give or take two weeks. You may be measuring for 8/11 and by first day of last be 8/15. Either way, if you have your baby within two weeks of those dates, your baby will be considered full term. And for what it's worth, babies rarely come on their due date. :)
