Advice please!

Okay ladies when I went to the doctor today they told me it is to early to test. When I did the home test a see a faint line and so does the hubby! The reason we tested is because my period only lasted two days then I spotted for one day. She told me to test in two weeks then come back to her! WHAT DO I DO, DO YOU SEE A LINE? We have been at this for four years now and I never seen a line or went to the doctor for thinking I could be..... Please ladies I need some encorgmennt
