Just got paragaurd inserted
So, I'm 24, never had sex, and can't take oral contraceptives because of the hormones. My family has a bad reputation for blood clotting and estrogen and progesterone are known to exacerbate the problem. 
So my only option for reliable long-term birth control was a copper iud. (I really didn't want to mess with condoms for every time I will have sex... I feel like it'd take the spontaneity out of the retrieve) I'm getting married in about 6 months, so I decided to go ahead and get it over with do everything would settle down by our wedding/honeymoon.
I have an extremely high pain tolerance, but when I say that having this sucker inserted made me scream, I'm not exaggerating. Was anybody else's experience similar? I dug my ginseng falls so deeply into my hands that I actually made myself bleed. I've been cramping and bleeding since yesterday morning and feel terrible.
When does it start normalizing itself? I know my uterus is getting used to having a foreign object, but this hurts so badly.
I would really appreciate any advice on what to do. I've been laying in my bed, taking sleeve, and have a heating pad pressed against my abdomen. The pain just won't go away.
