Advice please

So I've offered to babysit a coworkers newborn for her every now and then. I've never had kids but I love them and I also want one of my own real soon so I thought I could have practice. The only thing is that I'm scared I won't know what to do or im scared that something will happen while he's under my care and they'll think badly of me. I'm not sure if I should do it anymore
