Dream Symbolization: Boy or Girl?

First I had a nightmare that I was being chased by Michael Meyers in my old house (gah!). 

But my curiosity concerns the dream I had immediately after: I kept going into a basement to do chores and I eventually noticed that there was a starving/dying cat down there. I wanted to help him, so I went upstairs and got him a mixture of cat food and a snickers bar (hahaha) to munch on. I brought it down, he began to eat, and I began to walk back upstairs while keeping an eye on him. Just then, I watched a big black and red snake drop from the ceiling area right near the cat and it immediately wrapped itself around the cat and started squeezing. I screamed and ran for my life. I woke up just now, and I'm so sad for the cat! 😔

I know that snakes can represent the phallic symbol and I read an old wives tale that suggests dreaming of snakes = having a boy. But it's too obvious to me that cats can represent femininity, so now I'm confused! I thought this entire pregnancy that I'm having a girl. Could my dream have meant that I should "end" the idea of having a girl, because it's a boy?

Just wanted to seek everyone's fun interpretation of this dream. Maybe I'm eating too many sweets too? 😂
