Epidural or no epidural?
I want to know advice and stories as to whether I should or shouldn't get an epidural. I am a first time mom and it's definitely a tough decision. I have 2 weak valves in my heart plus mvp and tachycardia (found out when I was 15). My doctors are positive about giving birth and I've already stressed that I don't want to be induced or have a c section unless it's absolutely necessary. I have had problems with anesthesia any time I've had to use it but I've heard an epidural is much different. I've also heard that some women who get an epidural may have a harder time pushing (my step sister had to have a c section due to this). Anyone who has given birth both ways (with and without epidural) how different was the experience and which would you recommend?
