Birth control?

Hey! I've recently started having sex and I don't know how to get birth control, my mom would kill me if she knew, I just don't know what to do! Is there a way I can get some? Also, do you ovulate with birth control? Any advice on how it changes your body would be helpful, thank you. :) I'm 17 by the way.

If you're from the UK then your GP can prescribe it and it's all very discreet, if you're from the US then planned parenthood would be the best option. However, it might be wise to talk to your mum about going on the pill (you can always say you want regular and less painful periods!), that way everything is out in the open and your mum might even feel reassured you're on BC. It prevents you from ovulating if you take it every day as recommended😊

As a 17yr old, getting on any kind of birth control won't be difficult. It would be wise for you to discuss the topic of sex and birth control with your mother because if she later finds out, she'll be more upset that you didn't go to her first for advice. You're almost 18yrs old and wanting to get on birth control isn't a bad thing; it means you're taking control of your life and are practicing safe sex, even if you don't have sex any time soon. I'm not sure where you're from but maybe planned parenthood. I used to go. They never told my parents. In the meantime, have him wear condoms. Birth control prevents ovulation which prevents pregnancy.
