Confused

Ok so my partner and I are ttc last month I was a day late but af came then 2 weeks after I had very light spotting to the point it was only there when I wiped it was like that for 3 days a week later I had 2 days of light bleeding no clots or anything that would resemble a normal period for me and it was also shorter than normal usually 4-5 days af was due 2nd Jan and still no sign getting light cramps and back pain did a test first thing this morning and it was negative I just don't know what's going on its not normal for me but all these negatives are getting me down
