Did or will you use depends after birth?

I'm a FTM and I've seen a lot of women say that instead of the huge pads they give at the hospital after birth, they used depends. Or were the depends used for going to the bathroom? Sorry I'm just curious😂 I'm kind of considering putting depends in my hospital bag myself

My sister is buying the depends, but I'll be using the always overnights in the purple wrapper-it's what I used s my first and I'm not a heavy bleeder

I got a box of them. I stress when I use pads for my period and I can imagine how stressful it will be to worry with wearing pads for after labor. No thanks!

When I had my daughter 7yrs ago I opted for depends. Pads were just too bulky and they often shifted causing me to ruin many clothes. It was a nightmare. So, I found some overnight type depends (I liked them because they are designed to hold up to more fluid) and started using them. For the first couple weeks I also layered in some panty liners for that extra protection but no more accidents. I even went on a 1200 mile round trip and wasn't worried the entire time if I was going to bleed all over the car so I would strongly recommend them. I did, however, stop often to feed and cleanup baby and used that time as well to check myself out and change as needed which a person should do anyway.

I used them with my son for at night time for the first few days home because the thick pads were very uncomfortable and i was bleeding sooo heavy i was leaking through pads within an hour

I just took like 5 pairs of the big elastic underwear they give you while you are in the hospital! They really work the best!

I used them just for bleeding. Had a c-section and they worked the best with the abdominal binder.

Instead of depends I'm buying Kotex heavy flow light weight pads so they are bulky or anything and will do the trick rather than wearing the adult diaper 🙈
