Anxiety and Learning to Deal with It
Recently, my anxiety attacks have been more frequent and, at times, leave me feeling emotionally unstable for days or even weeks at a time. Sometimes I'll feel weepy and cry at random for five days and I won't know why. Other times, I'm set off by even the slightest insensitivity or comment about something I feel uncomfortable about.
For example, a couple of nights ago my boyfriend was getting on my case about getting my driver's license, saying he didn't understand why I was so scared of it since I'm actually a good driver (he's been teaching me). Yet, he knows I'm traumatized by an accident I was in a couple years ago. I had an anxiety attack over it and he didn't know what to do, which just made it worse.
Point is, what are some tips for helping both of us cope with my anxiety? I don't want to feel this insecure and sensitive and I certainly don't want him feeling uncomfortable around me.
