D&C Vs pill

I am about 8 weeks found out last Monday that my baby had no heart beat and only 5.5 mm. The sac was also bloated and they could see where I was bleeding from. I went back Friday bc I was cramping more and passing clots. The baby is still there but no heart beat and the same size. Tomorrow I go back to recheck bc I wasn't ready to give up yet. The dr told me I have three choices a D&C, go off the progesterone ( mine was low so they were making it higher) or the pill. I'm wondering what the best option to make when wanting to ttc again soon
