Co-parenting help

My baby's father is strictly immature. He hasn't been there throughout my pregnancy nor even bother communicating. I'd like for my baby to have a father of course. He thinks our parents should get together to discuss what will happen with our baby (like he can't make his own decisions). Which is ridiculous because that's OUR child not theirs. Anyways, I plan on not leaving my baby with him alone at all so if he wants to see her I will be there. If he wants time with her, I will be there. I do not trust him nor his family. Yes he can see her but won't be alone with her. Am I bad for this? Any suggestions on co-parenting?
