Am I a bad person for not wanting my MIL in the room when I deliver?

I want to feel as comfortable as possible there for I would only like people who have already seen me naked in the room or can keep me calm. Example: my mom , my husband, and my best friend who will be taking pictures.

My mother in law threw a big stink about not being in there and my mom meeting the baby first... But that's just the way it goes. My mom was there to support and encourage me.. My MIL was there to be selfish. I told my nurse I only wanted my mom and SO with me. The nurse told my MIL she had to wait outside due to hospital procedure.

I only had my husband when I delivered my daughter. Your whooha is literally out and spread for the room to see when you're pushing and the baby comes out. My MIL understood.

No. There isn't a chance in hell I'll let my mother in law anywhere near me for a lot of reasons. 1) she had 3 home births without drugs and believes I should do the same. 2) she stresses me and my husband out. 3) she says really idiotic and absurd things to get attention from people when the focus isn't on her. I can just see her saying "when I had you Samuel, your head stretched my vagina out soooo far, it never went back to normal. Your dad still complains about it!!"

Ugh. Don't feel bad. There's a reasons mother in laws are notoriously disliked by their daughter in laws

My husband will be the only one allowed in the room. He was the only one in the room for my first two (aside from my doctor and the nurses of course). It made the moment we met baby very special and intimate.

I love my mom and my MIL but I'm not comfortable at all with them seeing me naked and exposed. You are never so exposed as when you're giving birth.
