Is flirting cheating?

I personally do not believe flirting is always cheating.

My SO has a very flirty personality and has been flirty with my father before, (and my father thought he was hilarious).

I don't take it as anything but part of his personality and wouldn't dare try to change that.

But, to me, there is a difference in flirty personality and flirting with intent.

I get a lot of hate for "allowing" my OH to flirt with other people.

What do you guys think? Is flirting cheating?

I think there can be innocent flirting. For me it's all intentions, are they just doing it for fun or to actually sleep with this person? I don't consider it cheating unless it's the latter.

I think you said it, actually. There is a difference between being flirty and 'flirting with intent.' That is a valid, and very important, difference.

Depends some don't knew they r flirting they r just being nice. So if they r just trying to make someone feel comfortable then whatever but if they r flirting out of attraction then yes cheating that is wrong.

I used to bartend. And when my fiancé met me, his friends were constantly worried that I was flirting too much. He just sat back and smiled while I made that money. Now that I'm not bartending I have no need to flirt, so I don't. I think it depends on the situation and what you and your partner are comfortable with.

It's not cheating but it does make me suspicious sometimes. Some people just have flirty personalities though.

Some people are just kinda flirty all the time. But the problem is when it's intentional flotation and making people seem like you're available. My sister is super flirty, but she does know how to dial it back to just be more giggly flirtation rather than "I want you in my pants" kind of flirtation. It's hard to tell the difference sometimes, but once someone recognizes how they are they're able to be more self aware on how flirty they're being.

I'm a flirt. My husband know this.  He hates when we have a cute waiter. Whatever he knows it's harmless. I don't ask for numbers or anything.
