Boys & sex ??

There is this guy and for a few weeks we has been seeing eachother here & there but since Sunday I think we made it official that we were dating. Monday night we had a great night just cuddling, talking, flirting but I'm the type of person who feels the needed to wait for sex. I don't want to have sex with him untill 1st I'm protected myself & 2nd I know where I stand in his eyes. It's now Wednesday night & I haven't spoken to him. It frustrates me that it seems like a pattern that he takes days to talk to me & I wonder if it's because all he wants is sex. I'm a virgin & he isn't. He says it's been a 1 half for him but he has said a while ago he dosnt expect sex but him taking days to talk makes me think he does expect it :/
